Here is a look at my process for logos. Building logos always is so much fun and I really love the entire process that goes on behind the scenes.

This logo was designed for a good friend Kassidy & her new Vintage shop Sunday.

I just got back from a week away in California / Arizona / and Nevada. It felt very strange to be a tourist in Los Angeles. I realized how much I miss the year-round sunshine and beautiful weather. I wanted to create a little simple illustration dedicated to the State of California

I just turned 27 on Wednesday. Life has been treating me well as I’m on my way to my thirties. This year I want to focus more on personal work. Freelance is great but I don’t want to lose my style and aesthetic. Here is my first typographic illustration in my 27th year on this planet. I’m hoping to expand my visuals into various projects this year.

Bring it on 27

Taken away too soon. Rest in Paradise Mac !

I was a Senior in high school about to graduate when “Another Night Alone” came out. This song takes me back to when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life after graduation. Being a visual artist in a small town it was extremely difficult to see a future since most of my other classmates were accepted into State Universities and headed down the usual path. Many hours were spent in my room focusing, drawing in my sketchbook, painting, and creating. This song played in my headphones almost weekly as I felt like I was isolated being a creative in South Dakota. The following year I moved to Minneapolis and I got into design school downtown. 3 years later I graduated and then packed my car and moved to Los Angeles where I found a job as a Graphic Designer. Macs music sparked so much inspiration when I was younger. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was almost like I knew you even though we never met.
